Meet us at the Theatre – 22/10/2011
Lucy has recently been working in The Yard Theatre with Exchange Projects.

The Yard Theatre is located in Hackney Wick and has been constructed by Practice Architecture in response to the lack of theatre space available for young directors to show new and challenging work. This temporary structure has been built using recycled materials from the Olympic site and the surrounding Hackney Wick area.
Inspired by this project, Lucy used recycled materials from the area to respond to the transitional space, including perspex to print from discovered by the Lee Navigation. The outcome of this project will open on Saturday 22nd October and will be on display at the venue until Friday 28th October.

Constructions – 16/09/2011 – 18/09/2011
Lucy will be exhibiting work, along with coordinating workshops and events with Exchange Projects during this years Hackney Wick Festival.
Date: Friday 16th September 2011 – Sunday 18th September 2011
Location: Exchange Project Space, Unit 14 Queens Yard, Hackney Wick, London.
Work exhibited in the space will include Lucy’s illustrations produced in Hackney Wick over the last 3 months, as she visually records the changing landscape of this area of London in the lead up to the Olympics. This is part of an ongoing project that she has been working on in order to document the history and regeneration of the area.

Hackney Wicked Festival – 29/07/2011 – 31/07/2011
Lucy will be exhibiting artworks during the Hackney Wicked Festival, alongside other Exchange Project Space artists. All works featured during this exhibition will showcase work undertaken so far during her studio residency in the area.

Community Project Work with Rushmore Primary School – 01/06/2011
Throughout June, Lucy will be working as an artist in resident at Rushmore Primary School in Hackney, London. This is part of a wider initiative with Exchange Projects which seeks to develop the integration of art with community groups local to East London.
During Lucy’s workshops, pupils will be encouraged to focus on their local surroundings and visually document the buildings and people they pass everyday via drawings, collage and model making in order to recreate London city-scapes that are personal to them.

Studio Residency – 01/06/2011 – 01/10/2011
Lucy is one of 4 other artists that have been offered a studio residency in Hackney Wick, funded by Hackney Wicked and Hackney Wick Festival. During this 4 month residency, Lucy will be working closely with the 4 other artists to help further integrate artists with local community groups in the East London area. As an additional project, she will also be observing the development of Hackney Wick in the lead up to the Olympics and visually documenting this.

Artist of the Month, London Graphic Centre – 01/10/2010
Lucy has been selected as London Graphic’s Centre ‘Artist of the Month’. A number of her works will also be on show in the Clerkenwell store up until the 1st December. Further details can be found here:
